Sending Limits
Drop Cowboy has a soft sending limit of 10,000 requests per second. It's best practice to limit the number of concurrent requests coming from your servers to a reasonable amount, under 100 concurrent requests.
If you expect to exceed more than 1,000 requests per second, please notify your Drop Cowboy account manager or Drop Cowboy support.
Contact Attempt Window
By default, under TCPA regulations, Drop Cowboy prevents you from sending to the same contact more than 3 times in 3 days. Customers regulated under the FDCPA may request to change the limits to 7 times in 7 days. This is configurable on your Drop Cowboy account.
Please contact your Drop Cowboy account manager or customer support to change your contact attempt limit.
Delivery Lag Time
Drop Cowboy queues all /rvm endpoint requests and will attempt to send the ringless voicemail immediately based on available capacity. If the Drop Cowboy platform is experiencing heavy load, your delivery will be queued. Most voicemails are delivered within 5 minutes. Any delivery requests received outside of the contact’s local TCPA hours of 8am to 9pm will be held for delivery during the next TCPA window relative to the contact’s location.
Toll-Free Call Forwarding Restrictions
When a contact responds to a voicemail, Drop Cowboy has the ability to forward calls to a number you specify. Some phone providers block their subscribers from participating in calls that are forwarded to a toll-free number. Forwarding calls to a toll-free number will reduce the number of return calls you receive. Please only forward calls to local area code phone numbers.
