Explicit Caller ID (Requires Bring Your Own Carrier)

Drop Cowboy customers using their own SIP trunks with our Bring Your Own Carrier solution are able to explicitly set the caller_id property of the RVM API request.

You may set this property to any valid phone number that you have the legal rights to use. Some SIP providers may require that you use phone numbers obtained through them.

When the contact returns a call to the caller ID phone number, the call will be processed based on whatever routing and rules you have configured with your SIP provider. The call will only route through Drop Cowboy's forwarding and IVR technology if your SIP provider is configured to do so.
